Taylormade prostheses
Prostheses can be divided into partial prostheses and complete dentures. A partial prosthesis consists of a base with artificial teeth that is fixed on the remaining natural teeth through connecting elements. A complete denture is a treatment for an entirely toothless jaw with a removable prosthesis.
For these it is very common to use a gingiva-like pink plastic material which is provided with artificial teeth. This complete denture is worked in such a way by the dental technician that it virtually sucks itself to the oral mucosa.
For additional hold, individually placed implants for the prostheses can be inserted into the jawbone. This highly increases the comfort of wearing the prosthesis.
