Dental prostheses, implants, veneers and more
Dental prostheses are necessary when teeth are lost or destroyed to such an extent that they can’t be treated with fillings anymore. Thanks to modern dentistry there is a wide range of possible treatments. Many times you can choose between various methods of treatment.
The first decision you have to make is whether you prefer a fixed or a removable dental prosthesis. Fixed solutions are such prostheses as implants, crowns and bridges that are firmly embedded into the jawbone. Removable prostheses can again be divided into full prostheses and partial prostheses. In most of the cases both are provided with an adhesive element to carry a provisionally wearable non-slid dental prosthesis.
Modern dentistry prefers – as do most of the patients – fixed dental prostheses that are stably embedded into the jaw, just like your natural teeth. Like that you can bite firmly without having to fear any pain. This is the high standard that most patients aspire for.
